We headed out for the Canadian Rockies. We went to Lake Louise and stopped for lunch at the Maple Leaf in Banff. It was here that we heard this story.
CHUCK
Chuck kills possums with bare hands and sprayed in face by skunk. He also knows how not to get mauled by a bear.
Chuck ate more than Collin did at the Maple Leaf. They had the same
burger but Collin didn't eat his fried pickle. But neither of them
finished their burgers. Those burgers were huge!
JULY 17, 2010
Fort Calgary has a complicated past. It has been in Canada since 1875.
It was named by Colonel James Macleod. The original fort was built in
six weeks. It was built in the middle of nowhere. No men in Fort
Calgary, except for the superintendent, could marry because so many men
lived in one room. There was a railway called the Grand Trunk Pacific.
The Deane house was the house of the superintendent, R. Burton Deane,
and was one of the best houses in Calgary. It has a garden at the side
of the house with the vegetables used in the restaurant made out if
the house. The Hunt house is the oldest house in Calgary that is still
in its original position. Bison is a very popular food in modern and
past Calgary. Bison tastes like beef, but is better for you, because
it is a much leaner meat. It is even leaner than chicken.
Brunch at the Deane House Restaurant
I ate a gooseberry as shown above. It was good.
We ate at the Deane House and a few people ate an unknown berry called a
Saskatoon berry. Chuck have the berries on his French toast and Grandma had Saskatoon berry pie. I just had pancakes. We had to have chef to tell us about the berries. His name was Chris Murphy and he gave us a business card. At Fort Calgary
I took a total of 333 pictures.
Dean House Resturaunt open Tues. - Fri.

We stopped over to a big used bookstore.
Supper at the Calgary Stampede
My Aunt Barbara saw on the computer that some of the food is alligator
pizza. There was a link on it that said there were alligator pizzas
and cricket pizzas at the place we were going.
Chuck loves alligator meat. Says it's tail is tender and the rest is
like the consistency of meat. He said he once made alligator stew with
alligator legs. He flavored it like beef and it turned brown,he served
it to some people, and they thought it was just beef stew. He didn't
tell them what it was!!!!!
Calgary Stampede Concert
At the concert I was trying to talk to Doretha, but she and Colin
left, Aunt Linda was crocheting, and Chuck was being Chuck. But
Doretha and Colin came back before the start of the concert. And Chuck
was still being Chuck. Chuck has spoken that he doesn't like Jason
Aldeon enough to even care about his name.
The concert had two main singers: Maranda Lamburg and Jason Aldeon.
Maranda Lamburg wasn't really that bad and I gave her a 4 out of 10.
But Jason Aldeon wasn't that good. On the scale of 1 to 10 I give him
a -1. LAME!!! And he had bad jeans.
My grandma is not a republican. She just votes that way.
